United States Postal Service Investigative Specialist Al Goddard is assigned to arrest two bandits Joe Regas and George Soderquist in Gary, Indiana. The two bandits have killed a Postal Service detective. First, Goddard must track down the only witness to the murder, the attractive young nun Sister Augustine. Goddard poses as a criminal to gain the trust of gangster leader Earl Boettiger. Boettiger has worked out a plan to defraud the Postal Service for $500,000.
