Antony and Cleopatra plot

The story takes place in Roman times around the beginning of our era. Antony, together with Octavius and Lepidus, forms the triumvirate of Rome. However, he neglects his military duties after falling hopelessly in love with Cleopatra, the queen of Egypt. When he notices that his co-ruler Octavius is plotting against Cleopatra, he stands up for her.
