Allegro Barbaro plot

The second and final part of a film adaptation, planned as a trilogy, of a piece of Hungarian history from the first half of the twentieth century. István Zsadanyi marries a communist peasant daughter (his own godson) and sets himself up as the protector of the peasants against the rulers and the Nazis. He is not thanked for this, because he himself comes from the class of large landowners and is a parliamentarian.
