Adieu Chérie plot
A young gentleman of wealthy descent proposes to a lovely young lady to join his distinguished, genteel family. She must first make herself valued in order to marry him. The trick works perfectly but the young girl will tell the truth in an unguarded moment (or out of remorse). The wedding takes place, however, but 'darling', the young woman, leaves this area for good.
