A Korean in Paris plot
Newlywed Sang-ho visits Paris on his honeymoon. After his wife Yeon-wha mysteriously disappears, Sang-ho continues to look for her. Two years later we find him without a visa and homeless under a bridge. During the day, he takes the Paris metro and walks along the Seine. At night he drinks cheap booze and visits the red light district to ask prostitutes if they recognize his wife in the photo, as he is convinced that Yeon-wha has been kidnapped and/or has gone into prostitution. One night, a Chinese prostitute says she saw Yeon-wha in Marseille, whereupon Sang-ho leaves for the south.
