Walking Back to Happiness plot
Documentary by Pascal Poissonnier about the haze of mystery that hangs over his name and origin and its consequences for family relationships. The filmmaker investigates a rumor that has been circulating in his family for years: the name that the family now passes on from father to son is not the right one. At some point in their family history, a father gave his name to a child who was not his. The younger generation does not know the finer points and the older ones are all keeping their mouths shut. The first person Pascal wants to interrogate is his own father, with whom he always had a very difficult contact. The somewhat gruff paterfamilias doesn't feel much for his youngest son's project, but talks to him in front of the camera more than ever. Gradually, Poissonnier unravels long-gone family secrets and feuds.
