Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni (Caprese, March 6, 1475 – Rome, February 18, 1564) - better known by his first name Michelangelo - was an Italian painter, sculptor, architect and poet. He is considered one of the most important artists of the Italian Renaissance and was famous for his painting of the Sistine Chapel. This dramatized documentary focuses in particular on that project.
