Les Imams Vont à l'École plot

Why do these imams in training attend classes at the Institut Catholique in addition to their theological studies in the Grande Mosquée in Paris? That is because the French government would like to see imams also trained in the principles of the republic with its freedom of conscience and belief and strict separation of church and state. Paradoxically, the Sorbonne refused to give this course to religious students, so they are now welcomed within Catholic walls. They could have had it worse. The director of the school is a flamboyant man who teaches like a true actor and protects his students from the press if necessary.
