La Vie sur Terre plot
On the eve of the year 2000, director Sissako, who lives in Paris, returns to the Malian village of Sokolo, where he visits his father. He meets Nana, a young girl passing through, and roams the streets, across the squares and fields. That is the beginning of a reflection on the turbulent relationship between Africa and Europe.
