La Chica del Sur plot
Personal report by an Argentine filmmaker who falls under the spell of a passionate South Korean activist in North Korea in the 1980s. The unique images he shot there at the time and his personal voice-over provide a picture of the once controversial Lim-Su Kyung, also called 'the flower of reunification' by supporters. Back in Argentina, the fearless activist won't let go. For years he waits for the right moment to make a film about her. When he meets a Spanish interpreter from North Korea, he manages to get in touch with the activist with great difficulty.
