Kho Ki Pa Lü plot

Phek is a village of about 5,000 inhabitants in Nagaland, a state of India, near the border with Myanmar. The vast majority of the population grows rice for their own consumption. During the heavy work in the fields, men and women sing together in small groups. The tight rhythm and movements of chopping, plowing, planting and harvesting are accompanied by sounds and texts that carry far through the mountains. As the season progresses, the tone changes and the music becomes more and more hypnotic.
