Remember when this was in the news, but not the (horrific) details. And that in such a claustrophobic location, a submarine, that you would think it was written for a movie; too strange to be true. But what a maniac that Madsen… The type of manipulator who thinks he can get away with anything. His words at the end are indeed chilling and leave you in silence.

And then it's not about the words of a (serial) killer who talks “proudly” about his actions from a prison, as can be seen so much in other documentaries, but about words from just before the murder.

So very exciting. The documentary focuses purely on the months before and after the event, as seen through the eyes of the filmmaker, Madsen's co-workers/volunteers, and Madsen's own. It is precisely the latter that makes it all rather lurid. Simple in focus and decoration, but that's all this story needs. And kudos to the authorities who found the journalist's body parts.

Fascinating. Interesting documentary where the events were completely unknown to me. A documentary about Peter Madsen, almost the Danish Richard Branson/Elon Musk who wants to go into space with his money. A wolf in sheep's clothing, it turns out. The documentary focuses on the space project and on the events following the disturbing disappearance of a Swedish journalist who was in his submarine with Madsen.

There is a regular switch between the scientific program and the police investigation. The latter mainly through images from the media and many testimonies from close employees. Nice balance between both stories. It is fascinating and frightening to hear the interviews with Madsen knowing what would happen later. Easy to talk about afterwards, of course. This also applies to the employees and even friends who are left completely surprised and bewildered. (Many) people have a dark dark side. Worth watching!
