I had a very good time with this movie. Where others here say "too little action" I find it much more believable instead of an overkill of fight scenes, explosions and chases that throw you to death these days.

Hardened self-sufficient woman, who helps (a bit naive) neighbor with daughter and when it really escalates, helps her to the end. The reason why is becoming increasingly clear.

For me a movie that is more than worth watching.

Okay.

Allison Janney can once again play a leading role this time. Has also just been stuck in thankless supporting roles for too long, who make good use of her acting skills but don't really dare to pull her to the fore. Lou uses it eagerly, and as expected, it also makes for a nice protagonist.

I was also quite impressed by the other cast members. I've never seen Marshall-Green play a bad part like that. As an actor, he never really gets into the most expensive films as it turns out, but in these kinds of films he also comes into its own much better. They are all predictable, but well-played roles that give life to the story without any effort.

I was also pleased with the atmosphere, especially the first half makes good use of it. Sad, depressing environments but optimally used to give a sometimes dismal but all in all raw atmosphere. It is a pity that this mainly works in the first half, but is let go a bit during the second half. The finale isn't quite the satisfying punch the film was looking for either.

Story has too few surprises and the twists that do appear are not exactly cunning or clever. Lou is therefore a film with a very safe core, but packaged in an ideal setting and a few reasonable scenes. Would have liked to see a little more action, because the only fight scene is the best scene of the entire film.

Quite an OK film that treads the beaten track of the genre. Not for the first time, we follow a secluded stranger with a secret past. The present life is in stark contrast to the status of the past. All the violence and action has been abandoned and has been exchanged for seclusion, tranquility and peace. Until this is abruptly disrupted and the past is brought up.

Not a man as a superhero this time, but a woman of reasonable age. But that's certainly not bad. The whole family thing might have been a bit far fetched, but apart from that it was quite a smooth film that continued to fascinate as a whole. Some fine action scenes and a film that did not fall into dead moments. Great atmosphere and setting and the acting was decent.
