Híbridos, os Espíritos do Brasil plot

This documentary is the result of three years of research into all kinds of religious rituals in Brazil, from Roman Catholic to umbanda and candomblé – mixtures of African traditions with Catholicism. French filmmakers/artists Vincent Moon and Priscilla Telmon explored the relationship between trance, ecstasy, music, apparitions and spiritual rituals. Recordings of various ceremonies are interspersed with images of nature.
