Head Games plot
"How much are you willing to lose for a game?"
Christopher Nowinski is a Harvard alumnus and former American football player and show wrestler. He suffered from headaches, nausea and sleepwalking for 12 months. Sports was therefore no longer possible. At the suggestion of a friend, Nowinski visited a medical specialist and discovered that he probably had brain damage. Over the years, he had over a hundred concussions, but did not recognize them as such. Nowinski is no exception. Scientific research points to widespread brain damage in American athletes, mainly among ice hockey and American football players, but also among soccer players. The consequences can be dramatic. Convincing American youth, their parents, and the coaches of the danger of concussions is difficult: sport connects communities, is the road to glory and 'appointing' is a sin.
