Demons in Paradise plot

Jude Ratnam was five years old when the civil war broke out in Sri Lanka in 1983, a war that would last thirty years. He fled with his parents by train from Colombo to the north to escape persecution from the Tamils. His uncle was also there and joined the militant Tamils. Now Ratnam takes the same train from south to north, but as a documentary filmmaker. He traces the traces of the war: the violence, the people who helped and the self-destructive terrorism of the militant groups. His uncle, who now lives in Canada, travels with him.
