The Amstelveens Joop Rubens (75) is a very versatile visual artist. After a successful career as an art director in the advertising world, he decided to start his own business. Commissions and awards ensure that he is in demand to exhibit in museums and galleries. After all these years, Joop Rubens is looking for his Jewish identity in his life, but also how it can influence his art. In this documentary, his quest is penetratingly portrayed.
