De Missie Willems plot

When Erik Willems' father died in 1964, Erik was only seven. In this documentary Willems reconstructs his father's life story using old films, photos and letters and through interviews with his mother, his sister and his father's acquaintances. He left for the Dutch East Indies in 1935 as an archaeologist, traveled illegally to the Netherlands during the Second World War and worked for the government in exile as a diplomat in Sweden.
