De Meester en het Echte Leven plot

Director Frank Wiering followed four members of the Bhagwan movement in 1984 for his documentary The New Man. Now, twenty years later, he is looking for them again. They appear to live in different countries; three out of four have built their house in whole or in part themselves. They still seem to agree with what they say in the fragments from 1984 that Wiering shows them. They are still looking for peace, for spirituality, the way 'inside'.
