Cut plot
A jumble of families, consisting of Turks and Iraqi Kurds, inhabit the Jewish settlement of Ajjur in Israel. The Iraqis - the Jamo family - were sent to the promised land in the late 1940s, 'where the honey flows from the mountains'. Although paradise was disappointing, they could not go back; their passports stated that they could never return to Iraq. The Turks arrived a few years later, in 1953. The Jewish agency that manages the settlements forced them to build a livelihood as farmers. Years later, however, they will face several problems...
