"When government fails, we all pay the price."
On October 30, 2015, a major fire broke out at Colectiv nightclub in Bucharest. It became one of the worst disasters in recent Romanian history, initially killing 27 and injuring 180. Within days, fierce protests erupted, leading to the resignation of the Social Democratic government. Director Alexander Nanau follows a number of protagonists in the aftermath of the disaster, from when it is revealed that 37 of those injured have died from bacterial infections in local hospitals.
