Black Stones plot
Two employees of a hospital in Homs documented life in the besieged Syrian city for two years. In Homs, where freedom fighters fought for years against Assad's regime forces, some 7,000 residents were trapped between the warring factions until they were finally allowed to leave the city in 2014. Two thousand of them did not survive. The two makers show how the residents of Homs stoop and run between the buildings, because moving through the city with all those snipers is life-threatening. The soldiers of the regime attack daily, resulting in a completely destroyed and bombed city. In the meantime, under these extraordinary circumstances, 'normal' life continues as much as possible between the rubble and grit.
