In January 2013, two years after the popular uprising in Tahrir Square, an explosion of sexual violence sparked anger and protests. It seems to be the beginning of a new Egyptian revolution, this time about women's rights. But eight years later, the battle is still far from over. Director Samaher Alqadi recorded the protests at the time and also filmed how people react to her own headscarf-free appearance in everyday life: with a staggering stream of sexist comments and ultra-conservative opinions. Her pregnancy prompts a look back at her childhood and a reflection on what it means to be a woman in the Middle East.
