An Insignificant Man plot
A political chronicle of the spectacular rise of Arvind Kejriwal's Aad Admi Party (AAP), who uses a broom as a party symbol to battle the established political powers in India. After the popular India Against Corruption protest movement failed to enforce an anti-corruption law, activist Kejriwal established his AAP in 2012 to begin campaigning for the upcoming parliamentary elections in the national capital territory of Delhi. Makers Khushboo Ranka and Vinay Shukla closely follow the fledgling movement and document how a popular movement transforms into a political force of significance - with all the internal struggles that entails. As the 'Ordinary Man's Party' gains popularity, the election campaign begins to take on a more grim form.
