Beautiful documentary. A documentary about a man, a dream, a mission; making a real feature film, and the problems involved. The film is funny and moving at times, and Mark Borchardt knows how to produce the most fantastic texts and one-liners. By the way, it is not Mark who steals the show, but the brilliant Mike Shank. Every time the man is on screen something fantastic comes out of his mouth. Uncle Bill was also very funny.

The film follows the makers of the film from start to finish, and no matter how hopeless the situation sometimes seems, Mark eventually loses sight of his goal. We see him during the making of the film, his relationship with his family and the people who sometimes help him unwillingly. It's admirable to watch, and always fascinating.

The DVD also contains the end result; the epic short film Coven. There are some nice shots, but otherwise it is just a vague film; the story is strange, the actors make the best of it but are not exactly brilliant actors.

But still nice to see that Borchardt and associates made it after all; this is a good example of a man with a hopeless existence but with a mission; doing everything he can to make it in the world, something for which this documentary only gives you more respect

Reasonable documentary about Mark Borchardt who will do anything to make his own film. This documentary and the people in it are both sad and funny at the same time. Mark Borchardt's perseverance is to be envied. Enough nice scenes, but at some point you've seen it. Just 3.0 stars.
