Alma del Desierto plot

Georgina Epiayu is a member of the Wayúu, an indigenous people in the desert-like La Guajira in Northern Colombia, on the Caribbean Sea. Georgina is in her seventies and is a trans woman, and has great difficulty obtaining an ID that correctly states her name and gender. She is also seeking reconciliation with her family. They are now speaking to each other again, but there is still no question of full acceptance.
