A Stranger Came to Town plot

The complex reality cannot be reduced to a simple matter of good versus evil, especially with regard to the war in Syria. Interviews with four inhabitants of Aleppo are central to this cinematographic essay about the chaos in the country. The interviewees talk about the first major demonstration in 2012, how the rebel army took shape and how the regime's goons tortured them. Then they talk about their flight to the West.
