A Revolution on Canvas plot

Nickzad Nodjoumi, better known as Nicky Nodjoumi, was born in Iran but lives in New York City. He traveled back to Iran to participate in the Islamic Revolution and created paintings and posters criticizing the regime. In 1980, Nicky fled Iran after the protest against his exhibition. Now, decades later, he and his daughter Sara are trying to track down the missing paintings. During the search, Sara has candid conversations with her father and mother, the celebrated artist Nahid Hagigat.
