Under the Gun plot
"Story of a prison farm that gave a convict a gun...and gave him a pardon if he used it!"
Bert Galvin, who is friends with nightclub singer Ruth Williams, is a criminal in New York who finds himself increasingly unlucky. After a shooting, he is sentenced to 20 years in prison. Galvin is transferred to a prison in the southern United States, but he is convinced that this will not be for long. Applying a little psychology and a lot of cynicism, Galvin draws attention to his escape attempt by firing just one shot.
