The Golden Link plot

A woman's body falls into the hall of an apartment building. It looks like a suicide, but Police Inspector Blake thinks of murder. Blake is officially no longer involved in this case, but unofficially he is quietly continuing the investigation. He searches around, asks questions, is looking for clues. His main suspects are the dead woman's husband Terry Maguire and daughter Joan. Blake thinks he's found a motive.
