The Coverup plot

"Wrongful death. Rightful justice. Based on a true lie."

The mysterious death of drunk-driving convict Thomas Thacker (John Savage) stirs emotions in 1984 America. He is found dead in an alley behind a police station in Marshalltown, Iowa. Like many others, attorney Stu Pepper (Gabriel Mann) and his assistant Monica Wright (Eliza Dushku) don't trust the case. They decide to investigate but encounter many closed doors and suspicious behaviour. Based on a true story.
