Räuber und Gendarm plot

The unemployed make-up artist Gerhard Hoff and the detective Wolf Siebert live next door to each other. They play billiards together in a cafe around the corner and are pampered by Hanna's mother. Both are connected by their friendship. But the commissioner cannot imagine that the nice man who sits opposite him every day is a wanted bank robber. Thanks to his experience as a make-up specialist, Hoff has robbed a bank in Karlsrühe, with a method that leaves even the most skilled detectives astonished.
