In Steevensburg, a small town in Lower Saxony, a police officer is murdered during a raid at an asylum seekers' center and soon someone is arrested. However, in an anonymous letter, the Hanover police read that the killer must be sought in their own ranks. Stefan Bregert (Ben Becker) is charged with the case and that is a tough test for him: his father was a police officer in Steevensburg and he does not have very pleasant memories of that...
