"HE'S ON THE SCREEN NOW!"
John Braun has a mysterious illness. He draws up a new will, in which his daughter Barbara is left out under the protest of his wife Lydia. The problem started when Barbara wanted to marry her father's doctor James Rogers. Lydia Braun asks Inspector Queen to help find her long-missing daughter. Queen's son, Inspector Ellery Queen, works on the case. He goes to a house frequented by Dr. James Rogers. The doorbell is answered by Nikki Porter and Ellery mistakenly mistakes her for Barbara. He asks her to go to Barbara's parents' house. Nikki agrees and she finds John Braun murdered near his bedroom.
