Crooked House (2017)

Good film in which the head of a wealthy family dies under suspicious circumstances in his own home. A solid murder mystery with a classic structure as usual in Agatha Christie stories (where every character is a possible perpetrator). It is all easy to watch, the denouement is fine, the decor is beautiful and the cast does well.

Beautiful film adaptation of one of Agatha Christie's greatest classics. Exactly right in terms of tone, atmosphere and tension. Good introduction of all characters and exciting until the end. Some characters are a bit on the caricatural side, but that was certainly not less the case in the book. Very nice that the film stays close to the book - shows how much class the book has, even after all these decades. Recommended for a wonderful evening of playing detective on the couch!

Close, Irons and Martini give good acting presence in this whodunit film based on Agatha Christie's book. The atmosphere of the end of the 50's is well represented, whereby the music is also perfectly chosen throughout the 3 generations. How important is education with the Keys of attention, love, understanding and warmth and what happens if you lack that as a child. Strong role of Kneafsey by the way. Beautifully filmed and interesting to analyze as a viewer.
