Après la Vie plot
Pascal is a tough police officer who is not guided by his feelings. Not as a police officer. Pascal does have a problem though. He loves a woman who is addicted to morphine. To prevent Agnès from going under, Pascal has reached an agreement with Jacquillat. The industrialist provides morphine and the policeman turns a blind eye to his illegal activities. One day Agnès introduces Pascal to her friend Cécile. Cécile suspects her husband is hiding something. Pascal promises to play detective for Cécile in addition to his other police duties. Among other things, he is looking for Bruno Le Roux, a dangerous escaped prisoner. The industrialist Jacquillat is also behind Le Roux's heels and asks Pascal to kill Le Roux.
