"The world's most private detective."
Daryl Zero is a private detective. He is intellectually very gifted, but socially a zero. Zero does not want personal contact with his clients, he only communicates through his associate Steve Arlo, a shrewd lawyer. By distancing himself in this way, he manages to solve every case. But then he receives an order from businessman Gregory Stark who is blackmailed. It seems like a simple case, but for the first time in his career, he becomes emotionally involved in the case.
