"For money. For murder. For each other."
Violet wants to start a new life, but she is tied to her current relationship with Caesar, who launders money for the mafia. Then Corky moves in next door, an attractive lesbian woman who is handy as a plumber. She sees a relationship with Corky as a possible way out of her life. They devise a plan to steal a large sum of mafia money and start a new life with it. However, things don't go quite as planned...

Beautiful film in which the girlfriend of an employee of the mafia enlists the help of the woman who does odd jobs. The plot is well put together and the film is entertaining and exciting edited. Beautiful camera work that certainly contributes to the entire atmosphere. Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilly are tough and sexy and put down their best roles, but Joe Pantoliano should not be left unmentioned either.

It starts out as a kind of soft porn movie with two gorgeous women 
. Especially Jennifer Tilly is doing well on the silver screen or should I say white sheet. By the way, Gina still looks sleek. It's a bit of a shame that our hooker has to play a hoarse voice throughout the film as if everyone had to be seduced. Anyway, funny hooker vs plumber. The film doesn't start too well, although the bed scene is certainly successful. Unfortunately this only occurs in the beginning of the film. He only really gets going after the money has been stolen. Have to say that Joe is a weird brush but he plays it nice. The fun gadgets in the film also do him good. We should have seen more of it. Unfortunately, everything stays within four walls. Or rather two rooms. Nevertheless, I thought it was a successful film until the end with good old Tom Jones She's a lady as the soundtrack.
The image (BD) is sharply beautiful, only it is a pity that they have not removed the dirt. Regularly a white or even black pinprick. For the rest it looks good. Sound is well taken care of. It's certainly not a top-notch film, but it certainly deserves a good pass!

It is special that this comes from the directing duo who later set to work to bring major blockbusters to Hollywood. Everyone has to start somewhere, of course, but if I had seen this Bound earlier, I wouldn't have given them a platform as directors myself. Fortunately, I can sometimes be wrong, because the movies after that were my thing.
This movie though? I'd rather just watch just about any other movie. I decided to give it a chance despite the fact that I find Tilly very annoying as an actress, but I couldn't do much with it. Bound mainly relies on narrative and development between characters. What I only saw in it, however, was a very dull and dusty film with two ladies who don't get much out of their characters.
You might enjoy some remarkably explicit sex scenes, but it doesn't do me much good. I was mostly wondering what all I could have done while watching this movie. Not much I think, but I would have loved it if I knew this would happen to me differently. That may sound dramatic, and I'm aware of that, but I'll just like to rub it in that I can't do anything with this. It is never interestingly presented, acted or performed in my view.
Some supporting roles that help it a bit and a few shots in which the decor is used nicely, otherwise I'm going to forget that this film comes from the same names that directed two of my favorite films of all time. It's nice that the film could be appreciated by others, but I'd rather watch a different film next time.
