An at times crazy film, in which bone-dry dialogues and the most playful situations alternate in quick succession. Not all funny unfortunately, but certain scenes are worth it. In any case, one thing is certain: you can hardly deny the film originality.

The cast in particular stands out. Plotnick does a fine job as a little rose water asshole, but Fichtner's role as a dognapper in particular is a commendable one. There is also no shortage of witty supporting roles, that silly detective also caused a number of fits of laughter, for example.

But despite the fun that is being pulled out of the closet, my attention did wane every now and then. At times the film runs in fits and starts, and the humor doesn't always work well. Also the story with Dziena, to which attention is paid en passant, I did not find entirely successful. For example, I would have liked to see more of that neighbor instead.

But nevertheless a small 3.0* for this remarkable ''wrong''. A title that perfectly illustrates the overall feel of the film.

I do like unique films and this one started out quite promising. In the long run, however, it all became a bit against me and the draft came to an end. Looking forward with difficulty..

Wonderful absurdism. If that doesn't work for you, you can skip this one right away. Almost everything has a subtle jacket, especially the main character, who experiences most absurdist events as normal. Nowhere does it border on the uncomfortable, the strangeness of the situations takes you right into the world. You'll have to deal with it, but if I see an alarm clock jump from 7:59 to 7:60, you can pick me up. In the first half in particular, the strength lies in the fact that it does not go over the top and the somewhat wild look in the eyes of the protagonist. In the second half there is a bit more illogicality (or: impossibility) and that's a shame, the absurd fit better.

Plenty of nice finds and characters to give this film a tasty viewing for the enthusiast.

The second film I see from Dupieux (aka Mr. Oizo), on to more.
