The Whole Shootin' Match plot
Loyd and Frank are two bumbling Texas cowboys who face one setback after another in their life. Their greatest asset is their unconditional friendship for each other and the never-ending perseverance. They spend much of their time drinking, flirting, and making get-rich-quick plans. They can never keep a job for long, and their own businesses such as breeding frogs and squirrels are short-lived. When Loyd makes an invention he calls the "kitchen wizard" and sells the patent, some money finally comes in. However, the idea is taken by someone else, and soon the friends are on black seed again. Frank has finally broken something, and he considers committing suicide. Loyd is his friend through thick and thin for a reason, and tries to change his mind.
