The Tramp plot
Drifter Charlie is tricked by another bum by replacing his sandwich with a brick. Moments later he sees that the bum is harassing a farmer's daughter. The stone now comes in handy and Charlie rescues the girl. So he ends up on her father's farm, where he starts working as a servant. However, that turns out not to be so easy.
