The Main Street Kid plot
Otis Jones owns a print shop in a small town. Otis, who is fully committed to studying mental telepathy, lives for the day when he will be able to meet 'The Great Martine', the top exponent of his hobby. When Otis is struck by lightning one day, he is able to read people's minds. When his daughter Jill Jones and her wealthy young fiancé Bud Wheeling become involved in 'The Great Martine', Otis thinks he can take advantage of his newfound gift.
