Light-hearted film about life after the end of a relationship, experienced from a female perspective. Tagged as comedy. That's probably true, although one can argue about the wit and success of the humor. Anyway, I couldn't really laugh about it.

Simple story. After the breakup, the woman in question experiences a short period of sadness after which she throws herself back into life. Scenes with all kinds of overly amusing situations are the result. Failed dates, pathetic bar and nightclub visits and fun hysterical evenings with friends pass by. Lots of gloating and tipsy fun. The comic image that the film wants to evoke is obvious. Not amusing, I thought.

However. However exaggerated and bland the events are, the film does make a genuine, albeit half-hearted, attempt to give a more serious shape to daily life that has to be resumed after so many years of living together. Things like uncertainty, sadness and desperation occasionally shine through the unpleasant humorous scenes. They are the best scenes. It is forgivable that the film does not tap into any new insights. That is also difficult within this airy framework.

A smooth comedy about a young woman who is completely devastated when her boyfriend breaks off their (long-distance) relationship after six years. Without being a joke, the film has enough funny scenes to keep your attention. Fairly amusing.

The fact that adults behave like little children is of course very funny, directors Bruno Ascenzo and Joanna Lombardi must have thought. Despite the exceptionally strong acting of Gisela Ponce de León, who gives an almost perfectly nuanced performance, the plot just meanders along without hitting any highlights. In terms of direction itself, the film also doesn't look very uplifting. The camera is operated in a rather classical manner and the cinematographic interpretation is very neat. Ultimately, the concept wants to tell a few things, but there is little in between that has not already been made clear to the seasoned film lover. It is therefore unnecessary to stretch a relatively thin story like this to a running time of 104 minutes, but thanks to the enthusiastic performances and some successful dialogue direction, the film is not problematic to sit through. Moreover, I thought the ending was nice and down-to-earth.
