Rakudai wa Shitakeredo plot

It is exam time at the university and a tough period for the students. These exams determine whether they will graduate or have to repeat the year. While some study fully, some look for other ways to pass the exams. Takahasi (Tatsuo Saito) and his four best friends, who all live across the street, try all sorts of ways to cheat, but not all of them work. For the very last and most important exam, he writes notes on his shirt which will serve as a cheat sheet. However, the night before the exam, the landlady takes the shirt to the launderette, causing it to fall. His four friends also failed while his roommates all passed. It seems like an energetic start for the graduates and an unpleasant situation for the failed ones, but appearances are deceiving.
