Bizarre shit, this completely derailed mixture of comedy and drama. A good family man whose wife is in a coma knocks on the door of an exclusive SM club, after which his life slowly turns into hell. The events are often so strange and over the top that you largely remain fascinated, but at a certain point you can no longer take things seriously. Especially towards the end one completely loses track. An instant cult hit, therefore.

Meh.

A film that I would normally have ignored because I already knew very well what to expect, but when it was recommended to me in the context of a film game, that mission was taken away from me. When I finished the film, I actually got exactly the impression I had expected.

So not good. Matsumoto chooses an absurd and strange approach. At first I was impressed by the choice of filters as well as the many weird elements. However, after only fifteen minutes this wears off and the film falls into a kind of depression. Matsumoto desperately tries to get through it by involving everyone, but I mainly continued to see it as an unfunny, annoying film.

R100 suffers from the lack of flow. Lots of crazy stuff here, but they're hardly cemented together properly. Felt more like a stew with the wrong ingredients. When the somewhat sexually suggestive humor started to mix in, I saw it. My biggest complaint, however, is the progress of the event, because R100 is not moving at all.

Boring, annoying ride with only some surprising plot elements and visual tricks to save it from complete destruction. I can't do much with it. In any case, I have nothing to do with this continent within cinema, but they are always recommended and I can no longer ignore them. Of course I don't do this to upset others, I just can't get through it at all myself. Annoying film with annoying characters in unpleasant situations. So the figure is also according to my impression.

After having seen Matsumoto's crazy Shinboru (Film, 2009) by Matsumoto earlier in the evening, I immediately wanted to continue with this film. . I liked this movie a lot less. Still a bit absurd, but certainly more abstract.

The humor wasn't as good and the absurdity in the surrealistic setting barely caught on, making it more annoying than funny. Indeed, some strange things pass by, but there was no line.

The bombastic musical ending didn't change that much. Energetic and a nice ending, but otherwise it was a WTF that I had difficulty placing.
