Michel returns to Brussels from a business trip. When he arrives at his apartment, he finds that his wife Edwige has disappeared. His fear is further fueled by a puzzling detail: Despite the fact that his flat is completely empty, the security chain at the lock is attached from the inside! Michel starts his own investigation and questions the other tenants to learn more about the strange happenings. But the further he gets, the more he gets trapped in a fantasy world.
