Pete Smalls Is Dead plot
KC (Peter Dinklage) feels miserable after some local bullies kidnap his dog and demand a $10,000 ransom. His best friend Jack (Mark Boone Jr.) says he has the money, but first he has to go to Hollywood for the funeral of Pete Smalls, the famous director who died during the shooting of his last film. At the funeral, Jack confesses that he doesn't actually have the money, but that Pete stole the last script from KC and was secretly filming the script. They decide to demand the money back from Pete's ex-wife and her producer boyfriend. However, when they refuse to pay, KC and Jack are forced to find a way to get their hands on Pete Smalls' film in order to raise the money to save the dog.
