John Waters... That explains a lot. Strange, but funny video. Sometimes quite bizarre (positive), but usually a bit too simple, so all those strange characters never really become memorable. Could have done more.

Wonderfully upbeat, cheerful comedy by John Waters; not as daring as his Divine films, but still fun (and sweet).

Pecker, played by Edward Furlong, breaks through with his black-and-white photos of his crazy family and other crazy Baltimore residents; he's constantly taking pictures, click-click-click... it's constant.

Pecker's sister is the funniest of all, a sickly-looking child addicted to sugar who later has to be put on Ritalin by child protection and becomes addicted to it again haha...

Although the film is set in the 1990s, it is clear that Waters' favorite decades are the '50s, '60s and '70s. It is also said somewhere: "The '70s were so much fun."

Also very comical: the pubic hair harassment demonstration against the shaving of pubic hair, outside a strip bar: "We want Bush! We want Bush!"

Good film about a young man who likes to take pictures and is discovered by an art dealer. An entertaining film with colorful characters that starts quite open-minded and slowly goes about the art world vs the working class. It is not subtle at all, but then again it is a John Waters film. Edward Furlong and Christina Ricci are nicely cast together.
