Nearly Eighteen plot

Jane 'Janie' Stanton is about to turn 18 and finds herself unable to afford the school fees to attend a reputable singing and dancing school. In an effort to achieve her dreams, Stanton devises a plan to take advantage of an age-related loophole. She learns that the school offers enrollment free of charge if a student is under 15 years old. Stanton then transforms himself into a much younger student to enter the school.
