Divorced Emma Moriarty starts a new life with her son Jake and runs a horse ranch in Eunice, Arizona. Due to her bold appearance and boyish appearance, she quickly becomes the talk of the town. The elegant widowed pharmacist Murphy Jones cautiously approaches her. Emma is not charmed by this at first, but gradually the two grow closer. Then suddenly Emma's ex shows up in Eunice.
